Brandon Hall Group's
Human Capital Management Academy
Designed for executives and other business leaders as well as for HR and talent professionals, this full-day interactive experience offers leading practice insights and knowledge for those who will lead the way in deepening their talent pools and investing in leadership development (LD) and succession management (SM) as levers for long-term growth.
According to Brandon Hall Group’s 2015 State of Succession Management study, 84% of organizations still suffer from an unhealthy talent pipeline. As validated by our 2015 Leadership Development study, more than 75% of organizations rated their leadership development as only moderately effective or worse. Of further concern, more than half (56%) of organizations surveyed still try to develop leaders before fully understanding the development gaps they need to close and where in the enterprise they need to place leaders and other critical talent.
The talent development and management approach that most organizations are making is simply not developing the leaders who can deliver the desired results. Those select few that are high-performing organizations (HPOs) take the time to define business critical goals, assess leadership needs to achieve those goals, and create learning and growth experiences that embed development and critical experience opportunities into leaders’ everyday work.
What makes their approach to leadership development and succession management so much more impactful than that of their low-performing peers? That’s what you will learn in this workshop – and how you as an organizational leader can drive the change needed to optimize your programs.
Developed and facilitated by Brandon Hall Group talent and leadership development thought leaders and practitioners, this session introduces participants to modern day LD and SM frameworks, offers leading practices shared from high-performance organizations, and enables session members with a tool for self-diagnosing their current state of LD and SM. In this fashion, participants will leave with a thorough understanding of critical actions that must be taken to accelerate business performance through strategic leadership development and succession management.
